Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Colonsay intends to adopt a bylaw under The Planning and Development Act, 2007 to amend Bylaw No 49, known as the Zoning Bylaw.
To amend the text of the zoning bylaw to allow for minor variances of up to 10% for any of the yard requirements, or minimum required distances between buildings, for both permitted and discretionary uses.
To allow for minor variances of up to 10% in all districts of the Zoning Bylaw.
All properties within the Town of Colonsay.
Any person may inspect the bylaw at the Town Office between 8:30 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. Monday to Friday, beginning September 11, 2018 until the public hearing on October 9, 2018, excluding Thursday afternoons, noon hour and holidays.
A copy of the bylaw will also be displayed at the Colonsay Town Office and at the Affinity Credit Union while the Town Office is closed. Copies are available at cost.
Council will hold a public hearing on October 9, 20 I 8 at 8: 15 P.M. at the Colonsay Town Office to hear any person or group that wants to comment on the proposed bylaw. Council will also consider written comments received at the hearing ( or delivered to the undersigned at the municipal office before the hearing).
